The Social Capitalist Awards are a joint venture of Fast Company and Monitor Group, the global consulting firm, established in 2003 to recognize outstanding performance by entrepreneurs in the not-for-profit sector.

As in 2005 and 2006, the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship has partnered with Fast Company and the Monitor Group to identify a winner that will become part of the Schwab Foundation's world-wide community of top social entrepreneurs.

Award winners will be announced in Fast Company's January 2008 issue.
