Enyonam Nthabiseng Mosia

Nthabiseng Mosia is the co-founder and CMO of Easy Solar, an innovative pay-as-you-go solar distribution company in West Africa making energy affordable to those under-served the grid.

Before completing her Masters in Energy Finance and Policy at Columbia University, where she met her co-founders, Nthabi worked as a management consultant at the Monitor Group, Deloitte and later ICF International, with clients in the energy, telecoms and financial services sectors. Her experience spans the energy spectrum range, from modelling the impacts of distributed generation on the need for transmission builds in California state, to analyzing the demand side viability of mini-grids in northern Kenya. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance with honors from the University of Cape Town.

As a South African and Ghanaian dual-citizen, Nthabi considers herself a Pan-African at heart, passionate about building homegrown solutions to the continent’s most pressing development challenges. This has led her to live and work across several countries in Southern, East and West Africa.

Nthabi was named one of Quartz Africa's Innovators and Forbes’ 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in 2018, as well as of the Forbes 30 under 30 in Tech for Africa in 2019. She lives full time in Sierra Leone, where in her spare time, she loves enjoying its world-class beaches. She is an avid scuba diver, enjoys writing poetry and learning about the latest discoveries in paleontology.
