Degree in Economics, Portugal; Master's in Strategy, Portugal; PhD in Entrepreneurship, Stanford University. With INSEAD from 2003 to 2014 as a Professor of Entrepreneurship, researching and teaching new venture creation and social entrepreneurship; since 2007, Academic Director, Social Entrepreneurship Programme; since 2009 Director of the INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship. Since 2015 Founder and President of Portugal Social Innovation. Since 2017 Chaired Professor of Social Entrepreneurship at Catolica-Lisbon School of Business & Economics. Since 2019 Chair of EVPA (European Venture Philanthropy Association) and Dean of Catolica-Lisbon.
