
Lorraine Sibanda
Lorraine Sibanda is co-leader of Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO), a global network for improving the working conditions, rights, protection, economic opportunities and voice of women in the informal economy. She is the current President of the Zimbabwe Chamber of Informal Economy Associations (ZCIEA) and StreetNet International. Her day-to-day business is cross border trading and goat farming. After working in primary schools for 10 years, she left teaching to start self-help projects in 2008 when the Zimbabwean economy deteriorated.
