Mostafa Farahat

Mostafa is an Ashoka Fellow, Flat6Labs, IVLP and Synergos Alumni.
He earned his bachelor degree in architectural engineering in 2001 and has 18 years of professional working experience, specialized in online portals and digital services and co-founded Nafham in 2012.

On behalf of Nafham, he received many awards and gain lots of regional and international recognition in ed-tech and social entrepreneurship, Nafham currently impacts 5 million school students and young learners in 6 Arab countries through its curriculum-based platform and online tutoring service.

Nafham is an award-winning online educational video platform for school students. It uses the power of the crowd to help to simplify and explain school curriculum lessons in short videos in a process called "crowdteaching" which enable students to access multiple explanations for the same lesson in few seconds anytime from anywhere. Nafham is available at and via mobile apps on Android, Windows Phone and iOS, and Samsung Smart TV app. Nafham attracts 700,000 unique visitors every month and has thousands of videos covering mainly the Egyptian curriculum; Saudi, Algerian, Syrian and Kuwaiti curricula are partially covered.
